Two men have been arrested by a specialist Police drug team.

The Suffolk Police Scorpion team were deployed to Vinefields and Eastgate Street area of Bury St Edmunds following information of drug related activity was received from the public.

A 42-year-old male was stopped and detained and taken back to his home for a strip search.

On arriving at the premises, a second 22-year-old male ran out of the rear of the property and was seen throwing a package into nearby bushes. He was also detained, and the package was recovered.

Both men were arrested after around £300.00 worth of class A drugs were found and around £1400.00 cash was seized.
