Three people arrested in connection with drug offences in Sudbury

Police have arrested three people in Sudbury in connection with drug offences.

Officers carried out a warrant under Section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act at an address in Beatty Road yesterday, Thursday 18 June, and a quantity of suspected Class A and B drugs were seized.

Three people were arrested and were taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre where they were questioned.

A 30-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs. Two men, aged 22 and 23-years-old, were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of drugs.

All three people have now been released under investigation pending further enquiries.

Officers also executed a further warrant at an address in Weavers Lane yesterday morning. A 49-year-old man was given a cannabis warning after a small amount of cannabis was found within.

Officers continue to work with partner agencies to tackle drug dealing and associated criminality in the Sudbury area.
