Police have seized a gun from a car in red lodge following a routine stop in red lodge.  

Police from the Roads and arm policing unit pulled over the Renault Megane after it was flagged up as having no insurance.  

A black hand gun style Gat Gun, which is a type of low powered air pistol was recovered from the vehicle. The car was seized for having no insurance and the gun will be destroyed.  

Police are keen to point out the difficulty to quickly  identifying a real gun and a air pistol or air soft replica gun.
