Police pursued a car which failed to stop in Bury St Edmunds yesterday.

A man who was driving blue Seat Ibiza made off from officers as they attempted to stop him in the town. He then abandoned the car and attempted to escape on foot but was quickly caught by pursuing officers.

It was found that he was disqualified from driving for a previous drug driving offence.

He was arrested and taken to Bury St Edmunds police investigation centre.
