More of you are tuning your radios to RWSfm 103.3

RWSfm is getting more listeners than ever before.

A study carried out independently by local research company Good Sense Research (GSR) showed that there was a 3% increase in listeners in 2018. The survey, carried out in December 2018 and January 2019 showed that the station is getting at least 16% of the audience share in the area, and that the most popular time to listen was a weekday morning.

Station Manager Julie MacLeod is delighted with the figures.

“I am absolutely delighted”, said Julie MacLeod, Station Manager and Breakfast Show host. “It is a tribute to the hard work put in by our volunteers, and proves that we must be getting it right”. “We broadcast 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to our local community in the Bury St Edmunds area to inform and discuss local community issues. I am very proud of what we have achieved this year.”

Last year the station featured live outside broadcasts from Bury Sound, Suffolk Day, the Christmas Lights Switch On and the Christmas Fayre opening. It also broadcast over 1,000 items of local news and nearly 300 live interviews with local people.
