Man found attempting to steal tractor after A14 fail to stop at Risby

Police have arrested a man have a man who failed to stop for Police on the A14 last night, 20th July.

Officers in a armed response vehicle from the Norfolk and Suffolk Roads and Armed Policing team requested the driver of a vehicle to stop due to their manner of driving shortly after 6.40pm yesterday, Monday 20 July on the A14 near Risby.

The driver initially failed to do so and continued their journey to Barrow before decamping and running away into a field.

The man, aged 23, was later found in a tractor in Barrow and was arrested on suspicion of failing to stop, dangerous driving, drink driving and for attempted theft of a motor vehicle.

He was taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre and was subsequently released under investigation pending further enquiries.
