Mad Hatters raise money for West Suffolk Hospital Cancer Unit

A mad hatters tea part has raised money for the Cancer Unit at the West Suffolk Hospital Residents. Care home Cornwallis Court in hospital road held the party with dozens of residents, their families, friends and staff attending the event.

Anita Smith, one of the nurses at the care home, organised the party as her father is being treated for the illness.

Anita said “I could not believe how well it went and it was so enjoyable. “We had residents, friends and family attend and it was pretty packed. “We have had many similar events at the care home but this was the biggest one yet”.

Overall £800 was raised during the event and has been handed over to the my wish charity.
