Inquest in to death of a man in Linnett Road has opened

The inquest in to the death of a man who died in Linnett Road in Bury St Edmunds has opened.

Lee Carnegie, 49 was found trapped in a drain outside of his home on May the 9th.

By standers, who posted to the ‘We Really Love Bury St Edmunds’ Facebook group at the time said that 3 ambulances 4 police cars 2 police vans and the air ambulance attended

Members of the public pulled him out but he was declared dead at the scene. The cause of death was given as aspiration of foreign contents and inverted entrapment in the drain.

The inquest was formally opened and adjourned for inquiries to be completed.
