A Bury St Edmunds Primary School has been named the worst performing in Suffolk

Howard Community Primary School, which this year was taken over by the Chilford Hundred Education Trust, gained negative scores all round being rated -3.5 in reading, -11.3 in writing and -7.6 in maths.

The scores are calculated by comparing the key stage 2 results of pupils at the school with those of students across England who started with similar results at the end of key stage 1.

A score above zero means pupils made more progress, on average, than pupils across England while a A score below zero means pupils made less progress, on average, than pupils across England
