Glasswells Charity Quiz Night Raises £950 for the East Anglian Air Ambulance

Eighteen teams, made up by members of staff at Glasswells, met in the in-store Place to Eat restaurant to battle it out for the coveted title of Quiz Team Champions 2018. Now in its twelfth year, the annual quiz has raised thousands of pounds for many different local and national charities, with this year’s funds being donated to the East Anglian Air Ambulance.

The competition was fierce, with the furniture sales team, ‘Parker Knowledge’, just pipping the others to the post. “The annual quiz night has become an important and much anticipated event in Glasswells calendar,” explained Paul Glasswell, Managing Director. “We are over the moon to have raised such a significant sum of money for such a worthwhile cause; I cannot thank the staff enough for their continued enthusiasm and generosity.”

Mark Wilson, Community Fundraiser in Suffolk for the charity added, “EAAA are delighted to receive this very generous donation from the fantastic team at Glasswells this morning. It’s great too that everyone had fun during their annual quiz evening whilst raising funds for EAAA, which receives no regular government funding. Every donation is hugely helpful as it allows our two helicopters and medical crews based at Cambridge and Norwich to continue attending on average 8 life-saving missions every day across East Anglia. I hope we can continue to work closer with such dynamic organisations like Glasswells in 2019 and I’d like to wish all the staff here a very safe and merry Christmas.”
