A trust of schools in Bury St Edmunds has been given the go ahead to join the Unity Schools Partnership.
Bury St Edmunds all-through trust, which includes county Upper as well as Tollgate Primary, Horringer Court and Westley Middle , was granted permission on Friday by the Department for Education to join the partnership, which is the largest trust in West Suffolk.
In a letter sent to parents yesterday afternoon, Christine Quinn Chairof Bury St Edmunds All-Through Trust said that there are âmany advantages for both trusts including opportunities for collaboration on approaches to teaching and learning; joint training; additional events and activities for pupilsâ
Ms Quinn went on to reassure parents that there would not be any major changes to schools names, uniform, day timings or the subjects taught.
A meeting for parents will take place before Easter.
