Bury St Edmunds students take part in strike action

Students in Bury St Edmunds have joined thousands of school children taking part in strikes in 60 towns and cities across the UK, according to organisers Youth Strike 4 Climate.

Demonstrations have taken place in locations around the county including in Bury St Edmunds outside the West Suffolk College, in Grove Road outside King Edwards and outside County Upper School in Beetons Way. 
 
Students have walked out of schools to call on the government to declare a climate emergency and take active steps to tackle the problem.
